Poems from 2018
These poems are still relevant, and I'm surprised at how good they are for being from that long ago.
Night at Home
Firefly, moonlight,
Stars shining in my eyes
Darkness covers me
As a blanket in my bed
Warm around the fire
Watching, wondering,
Staring up in awe
To the endless space
Where this earth spins
This is My home,
This is where I live
Goodnight
Light out
In bed
Resting, sleeping
Thoughts wandering,
Silently dreaming
Moon out
Stars shine
Goodnight
Sweet friend of mine
You are Hope
A light in the distance
Coming near
Wishing, wondering
I know you're here
In my heart
Wherever I go
You are my light
You are my hope
You hold me
You love me
There is no way
I can pass on my thankfulness
For how you made me yours
Love
Love is stronger than any chain
Nothing can break it
Nothing can change it
It’s there
Just something in your mind
It won’t go away
And you don’t want it to
It is something that holds you
To your promises
It holds you to your word
Oh, how could I live without it
It is something that makes us thrive
I See Your Hands
Everywhere I look
I see your name
I see your amazing qualities
In this world you made
It’s amazing
It’s wonderful
I always see your handprints
And footprints
Wherever I may go
You made the bees
And the birds and trees
But most of all
You made me
