Season Poems
Not so bad poetry from 5th grader.
Spring
Spring flowers Draw hummingbirds near
Far away from their homes
The hums make butterflies follow
To the fields of nectar rich flowers
Oh how I love to watch them play
In the hot Spring sun
Summer
In Summer the bees play in the hot Summer breeze
While we are picking plants that we have grown
Deer run through the meadows where I would like to be
How I love the hot Summer sun
Autumn
Autumn leaves fall to the ground
A ladybug rides on one
The geese are heading south
And most other birds, but a few
Those left are lonely, very lonely
I go to play with them
Now they are happy
What a beautiful day that was
Winter
Winter brings snow that I like to play in
The snow covers the trees who lost their leaves in Fall
The blanket of leaves lay while
The snow covers them with its blanket
Now it is a frosty white Winter wonderland
Change of Seasons
Seasons are the reason we have a smile on year-round
Whether hot or mild, chilly or cold
We enjoy the uniqueness of every one
Summer is hot when the crops grow
Spring is mild the perfect time to hoe
Fall is chilly when we harvest
And winter is when the ground is covered with a blanket of snow
So seasons are the reason we don’t get bored
Because each are unique and have their differences
Don’t stay cooped up indoors
Get outside and explore outdoors
